ABOUT CP

OUR STORE

In the Philippines, the industry of footwear is traditionally associated with Marikina. In 1970s during its peak, the then-province footwear was coveted by even the most discriminating consumers in major fashion cities around the world. The decline of the national footwear industry which affected most of shoe stores including the C Point shoe store however, they are one of the shoe stores that quickly come to trade liberalization to keep an eye on trends and be able to the industry to survive. The rapid shift in market conditions brought a massive displacement and adjustments in the Marikina footwear industry.
Most of footwear producers has a capacity of at least 1,500 pairs a week is required before it can sell to foreign markets. The seasonality of footwear production in Marikina (March to May for the opening of classes in June, and October to December for the yearend holidays) similarly limits automation, since this means an erratic recovery stream on machinery-invested capital.
